Here's our route, from Cuernavaca to Halifax, via Cancun - along with the road-trip holiday on the US West Coast. Including the previous cycle legs, the ride to Halifax got us up to 9,260km or so, over 2 and a half years away from home.

Our week-long trip to Mexico City was lovely. Founded in 1325, and located in a large valley, at an altitude of 2,240 metres, the city (according to wiki) has a population of 21 million people, and 3.5 million vehicles - so a smoggy atmosphere is only to be expected; but the air really wasn't nearly as bad as I had been lead to expect. Coming out of DC, there's the tow path beside the Chesapeake and Ohio (C&amp;O) Canal as far as Cumberland.
